Terms & Conditions

Alexis Blenkarn is committed to teaching all classes and workshops as advertised.

Registration

Advertised classes and workshops are to be accessed individually or as part of an agreed upon monthly plan. Registration and purchase of classes or workshops are not transferable to other individuals.   

By signing up for classes or workshops, I accept the following terms and conditions:

  • I am contracted to make my payments as scheduled. I understand that I may be required to refrain from attending classes if my fee payments are in arrears.

  • I also understand that I may be asked to refrain from attending classes or workshops if Alexis Blenkarn considers that any of the criteria below apply in my case:

  1. My behavior in classes or in workshops is deemed inappropriate (such as an ethical code violation);

  2. I fail to adhere to the terms of this contract.

  • I will abide by the Equal Opportunities Code adopted by Alexis Blenkarn: Alexis Blenkarn believes that each individual has the right to be heard, seen and respected during classes or workshops. She values diversity of culture, race, religion, gender, age, sexuality and ability / disability.

  • I will abide by the Complaints Procedure adopted by Alexis Blenkarn. In the event of any complaint, a written submission must be made to Alexis Blenkarn directly who will investigate the complaint.

Alexis Blenkarn will make best endeavors to resolve the issue to the complainant’s satisfaction.

Alexis Blenkarn expects clients:

  • to honor the subjectivity of the class or workshop experience;

  • to respect commonly understood boundaries, and conduct themselves in such a way that is respectful towards the process and profession of yoga;

  • to refrain from commenting adversely on the conduct of other clients, visitors, or those acting in professional partnership. 

Equipment

Alexis Blenkarn has no responsibility to provide equipment, such as mats, blocks, straps, or blankets to clients; however, clients will be offered the loan of equipment on a temporary basis, subject to availability. 

In the case of damage from improper use of equipment, the client may be asked to replace the item(s) in question.

Client Information

It is the clients’ responsibility to inform Alexis Blenkarn of any medical conditions, pregnancy, injury, or other concern which might affect the wellbeing of the client during class.

In acceptance of these terms and conditions, I acknowledge that I understand that Alexis Blenkarn claims no professional qualification to advise on medical or therapeutic matters and that the physical and mental wellbeing of the client is the responsibility of the client.

Fees

On an annual basis, clients are required to pay a membership fee, which contributes to ongoing insurance costs, equipment, and administration. Discounts may be offered at registration at the discretion of Alexis Blenkarn.  

Beyond the annual contribution to membership and insurance, Individual class and monthly payment plans include all advertised parts of the classes; workshops will be priced on an individual basis and included content will be clearly specified.

Booking & billing

Payment plan options are arranged at the discretion of Alexis Blenkarn and may be changed without notice. However, every effort will be made to warn clients in advance of changes to the payment system.   

Monthly payments must be made by the 8th day of the month. Should this not be observed, clients will be billed at the individual class rate for any classes taken that month.

Individual classes can be paid for on the day of the class or be billed in total at the end of the month. If payments are not made access to future classes may be refused.

Refunds & Cancellations

If you opt to pay a monthly rate for a given month, then do not attend the classes, no refund will be given unless in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Alexis Blenkarn.  

If you book a private class and cannot attend, it is possible to reschedule. However, if you book a class and cancel without giving more than 24 hours notice you will be liable to pay the cost of the class. 

It is acknowledged that monthly fees are calculated on the basis of a four week month. National holidays will be honoured without alterations to monthly payments as long as a four week month of classes can be offered (i.e four mondays, four wednesdays, four fridays).
